RSSHub

RSSHub

RSSHub is an open-source, extensible RSS feed generator that makes “everything RSSible”. Many websites — social networks, news outlets, forums, streaming platforms and more — do not offer official RSS feeds. RSSHub fills that gap by generating RSS feeds from hundreds of data sources through a large library of community-contributed routes, letting you follow almost any site through your favourite feed reader. It is self-hostable as a lightweight service.

Key Features

  • Hundreds of built-in routes — Pre-built feed generators for a wide range of websites, communities and platforms, continually expanded by contributors.
  • Extensible architecture — Write new routes with JavaScript/TypeScript to turn any data source into a clean RSS feed.
  • RSS and Atom output — Routes produce standard RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds consumable by any feed reader.
  • Custom routing — Filter, sort and parameterise routes (e.g. by keyword, tag or location) to build tailored feeds.
  • Deploy as a service — Run locally, on a VPS, via Docker, or on serverless platforms, or use the public instance.
  • Proxy and caching — Options for fetching remote content behind proxies and caching responses to reduce load.
  • Active community — A vibrant contributor community keeps routes current and adds new sources regularly.

Why Use RSSHub?

RSSHub is essential if you want to turn sites without native feeds into readable RSS. It is effectively a gateway between non-RSS services and your feed reader, unlocking a huge range of content. Because it is open source and self-hostable, you can control which sources you expose and keep your reading workflow unified.

Use Cases

  • Following social networks, forums and sites without native RSS support
  • Monitoring changelogs, release notes and product feeds across many vendors
  • Building custom, filterable feeds for niche interests or research
  • Running a private feed-generation service alongside your own feed reader
