AniBridge

AniBridge

AniBridge is a media synchronisation tool that keeps your anime watch activity in step between the app you watch in and the list you track in. It reads your progress in Plex, Jellyfin or Emby and mirrors it to your anime tracking list — watch status, episode progress, ratings, reviews and start/completion dates — and it is powered by a mappings database of over 250,000 anime titles. It runs as a self-hosted Docker service with a web dashboard, and the latest release is v2.2.0.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive synchronisation — Keeps watch status, progress, ratings, reviews and start/completion dates aligned between your anime library and your list.
  • Provider-agnostic plugins — Mix media servers (Plex, Jellyfin, Emby) with list providers (AniList, MyAnimeList, Trakt) through a flexible plugin system.
  • 250,000+ mappings database — A curated database of anime mappings resolves the title mismatches between your library and your list, with fuzzy title search as a fallback.
  • Custom mapping editor — Override or add your own title mappings from the web UI when an entry does not match automatically.
  • Multi-user and multi-profile — Define several profiles to synchronise different users, libraries and servers at once, each with its own configuration.
  • Web dashboard — A real-time sync timeline with a diff viewer, profile management, mapping editor and log viewer.
  • Dry-run and automatic backups — Test a sync before anything is written, and restore from the automatic backups taken before each run through the web UI.
  • Docker-ready — Ships as a container and is configured with a simple YAML file.

Why Use AniBridge?

Anime tends to be scattered: you watch it in one app and track it in another, and the two never quite agree on what you have actually seen. AniBridge removes the manual book-keeping. Point it at your media library and your anime list, and it keeps them consistent in the background — handy when an episode was watched on the TV through Plex but the list still says you are twenty episodes behind. Nothing is written until you are happy: dry-run mode tests a sync first, every run takes a backup you can restore from the web UI, and the dashboard shows the exact diff of what changed.

Use Cases

  • Keeping an AniList or MyAnimeList profile accurate while actually watching through Plex, Jellyfin or Emby.
  • Households where several people watch from one shared library but each tracks their own list.
  • Bringing an existing media-server watch history onto a tracking service without re-entering episodes by hand.
  • Keeping ratings and reviews in step as well as raw episode counts.
