Audiobookshelf

Audiobookshelf

Audiobookshelf is a self-hosted server for your audiobook and podcast library. Stream every title in your collection from any device, and pick up exactly where you left off thanks to progress syncing that follows you across the web app and the open-source Android and iOS companion apps. It is fully open source, including the mobile clients.

Key Features

  • Stream any format — Plays all common audiobook and podcast audio formats on the fly, no transcoding required on your side
  • Progress sync — Keeps per-user listening position and syncs it across all your devices automatically
  • Podcast support — Search and subscribe to podcasts with automatic episode downloading
  • Multi-user — Separate accounts with custom permissions, so everyone keeps their own library and progress
  • Metadata lookup — Fetches metadata and cover art from several providers, plus a chapter editor and chapter lookup
  • Library tools — Merge audio files into a single m4b and embed metadata and cover art into your files
  • Backups — Backs up metadata with automated daily scheduling
