qTox is a free and open-source instant messaging client for the Tox protocol, featuring chat, voice, video, and file transfer over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. It provides an easy-to-use desktop interface so you do not need to be a programmer to use encrypted communication. Note that the qTox repository is archived; the project is no longer actively developed, so we recommend pairing it with continued community clients of the Tox protocol.
qTox puts privacy first with leading-class encryption while keeping a simple, familiar interface. It is free software, carries no advertising, and never requires payment for features.
