AzuraCast

AzuraCast

AzuraCast is a free, open-source, self-hosted web radio station in a box. In one Docker-based installation it bundles a full open-source radio software stack with a powerful web interface, so you can go from nothing to a broadcasting station with live DJs, playlists and analytics in a few minutes.

Key Features

  • Web-based station management — Upload media, manage playlists, create mount points and remote relays, and view analytics from your browser
  • Multi-station administration — Host multiple stations on one installation with per-station user accounts and granular role permissions
  • Live DJs and Web DJ — Set up DJ accounts and broadcast live directly from the browser with no extra software
  • Remote relays — Forward your signal, including live DJs, to any Icecast or SHOUTcast server
  • Analytics and reports — Track listener behaviour over time and generate SoundExchange-compatible royalty reports
  • Web hooks — Connect to Slack, Discord, TuneIn, Twitter and more
  • Automatic radio proxies — Listeners connect through standard HTTP and HTTPS ports, compatible with Cloudflare
  • Custom branding — Restyle both the admin and public-facing pages with your own CSS and JavaScript

Why Use AzuraCast?

Running an internet radio station normally means stitching together Icecast, a media player, an automation tool and a website. AzuraCast packages the whole stack with an intuitive interface, a documented API, and built-in reporting, so a single person can run a professional station.

Use Cases

  • Launching an independent internet radio station
  • Automating 24/7 music rotation with scheduled playlists and an autoDJ
  • Community and campus radio managed entirely from a web browser
